It makes no sense to have a Protestant leading a specifically Catholic institution. Dr Topping was an obvious target. NTC is an institution we have grown to cherish precisely due to Dr. Topping’s excellent work. Dr Topping deserved much better and his work and reputation should not have been tarnished by this shameful action. We will continue to support the efforts of the Catholics in our Archdiocese who are seeking the resolution of getting Dr Topping his rightful job back.
