Most reverend Archbishop Smith, While I have often had occasion to work closely with protestants of various denominations and do not wholly share the rancor of the pre-filled section with regards to Dr Jo Ann Bradley, I am still greatly concerned with the effects of her dismissal of Dr. Ryan Topping without cause, which endangers the Catholic Studies B.A. program at Newman Theological College. If there is no reason for Dr. Topping’s dismissal, then it is my sincere hope that through your action, this situation can be rectified in a way that adequately reflects the Diocese of Edmonton’s commitment to the promotion of our Catholic faith Yours respectfully in Christ, Matthew Purdy
